10-11:30 am: Get in touch with your creative side with the Museum of Art and Archaeology Sketching Group. The group now meets twice a month—on the first and third Tuesdays. This is a friendly, supportive, low key space to sketch in the museum—“Talent is not required.” They meet in the lobby at Mizzou North, and if you are running late, just head on up to the galleries on the second floor. Bring your own pencil and sketch pad‚ or they have supplies if you need them; and stools are provided.

Wed, Aug 8

8:30-10 am: 1 Million Cups Columbia (1MC) is celebrating their 5th Anniversary. At 8:30 am, doors open with Camacho Coffee and Harold’s Doughnuts while you get settled. Ribbon Cutting is at 8:45 am. Then the program begins at the regular 9 am time. The program includes a keynote talk by Dave Griggs and listening to the top 12 1MC presenters as chosen by online vote. Note: For this event, the location will be the meeting room in the Daniel Boone / City-County Building.
