City Cycling classes, offered through the Columbia Parks and Recreation Department, are scheduled for the summer, and the next class is tomorrow, Saturday, May 30, 2015. The class runs from 9 am to 2 pm, and will be held in the Conference Room of the Armory Sports Center (downtown). Participants should be at least 14 years of age, and bring a bicycle and helmet. There are  still two openings for tomorrow’s class, so register today! If you cannot attend tomorrow or the class fills, you can register for one of the next two classes. City Cycling Class (age 14+)
9 am – 2 pm

City Cycling teaches the skills you need to ride safely and responsibly in traffic and around town. This comprehensive course has something for everyone—even the most seasoned cyclists. League of American Bicyclist certified cycling instructors will facilitate classroom discussion, bicycle handling skills, and on-road rides.

Registration Options:

  • Call 573-874-7460 (weekdays, 8 am-5 pm) and provide the class number.
  • Register online—You must have a WebTrac user name and password. If you do not already have the user name and password, call the Parks and Rec office at 573-874-7460 and set this up for future convenience. (Some classes are not available for online registration.)
  • Print and complete the registration form (PDF), which can be submitted by mail (Columbia Parks & Recreation, PO Box 6015, Columbia MO 65205) or delivered in person (Gentry Building, #1 South 7th St, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm, OR Activity & Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 W Ash, during operation hours). With these methods, applicants must follow up (per the above phone number) and confirm registration.
