So…I started to create a summary of the free events going on this week in Columbia, and I got it reduced to eight pages with a 10 pt font. Not reasonable for posting, or distribution. Therefore, I am going to provide a brief overview below, and you can check the calendar for all the details on the events you are interested in.

So far, there are 50 events on the calendar. We are adding more all the time, so keep checking! There is something for everyone–from newborns to adults, and even dogs!

Included are the following:
* Baby and toddler activities at the Columbia Public Library
* Kids can build a fire truck at Lowe’s and bracelets at Toys ‘r’ Us.
* Lots of movies!
* Art receptions
* Music recital
* Science talks and activities–the planetarium at Rock Bridge High School is supposed to reopen on Saturday, but so far, they have not posted confirmation on their Website. Saturday Morning Science is about polarization, and should be lots of fun. There are more talks as well.
* Paws in the Park is on Saturday.
* The Crush Festival is also on Saturday, and yes, you get to stomp grapes with your bare feet, squishing them between your toes! Lots more activities for kids.
* Another important event on Saturday is the Sustainable Living Fair.
* There are history talks, including the subject of the Civil War.
* Home improvement workshops.
* and more!

Yes, fall activities are in full swing. Have a great week!
