At the Columbia Public Library, Stretch Into Story Time—a yoga event for kids ages 3-8 with accompanying adult—will be held from 4-4:30 pm and 5:30-6 pm today. The program will be in the Children’s Program Room, and lots of spots are still available! To attend, register by calling the library at 573-443-3161 and asking for the Children’s Desk.

Description: Stand tall like a mountain. Explode like a volcano. Transform into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. At this session, kids and parents will learn creative ways to relax the body and focus the mind through yoga poses. Everyone will begin by stretching and then move into specific poses as to act out a story. Wear comfortable clothing to allow for free movement. This is a new program created by one of the librarians—check it out!
