Eastside Tavern (downtown—1016 E Broadway, Columbia MO 65201) has lots of fun events throughout the week, and tonight, starting at 8 pm, is the next edition of Sorry, Please Continue… —a panel of comedians who host storytellers…and interrupt them. Tonight’s theme is Sorry, Please Continue…Dating. This event is for adults age 21+.

Show description: Everyone has embarrassing stories about dating. Whether it was ruining a first date with a longtime crush or trying to hookup with a fake person from the internet, we’ve all made mistakes. There’s no better time to share these stories than the day after Valentine’s.
Described as cross between The Moth Radio Hour and Mystery Science Theater 3000, Sorry, Please Continue… features some amazing stories told by anyone who wants to participate mixed with commentary from Kenny Kinds, Jeremy Hellwig, and some hilarious local comics. This time we’re taking the show on the road to Columbia, MO.
Join Michael Yetman as he talks about a girl he dated while working in radio. She did a terrible thing and the world should know about it, just probably not her name.
If you think you have a hilarious story about dating that will stun, shock or make people roar with delight, we want to hear about it. If you would like to participate in this month’s show, email [email protected] to get added to the list of storytellers.
This is truly unique experience that you’ll never forget. As always, the show is free of charge.

If you are wondering what the show is like, here is the first half of the November show. The theme was ALCOHOL and the guest was Nick Vatterott. And yes, it is always this much fun.

Check the FCMo calendar and Regularly Available page for more fun events at Eastside Tavern, including Tuesday night comedy shows, Karaoke on Thursdays, and dancing—Dirty Disco on Fridays, 80s music on the second Saturday of the month, and starting this February, 90s music on the fourth Saturday of the month. We recommend checking Eastside’s Facebook page to confirm events.
