Black Girls Lives by Dr. Marcia Chatelain
As part of Women’s History Month (WHM) at the University of Missouri and in conjunction with the Women’s Leadership Conference, learn more about Dr. Marcia Chatelain and her book Black Girls’ Lives Matter: Writing the History of Black Girlhood. Dr. Chatelain, Mizzou alumna and WHM and Women’s Leadership Conference keynote speaker, will discuss her life as a Mizzou student, a professor, an author, and an activist.

From 1-2 pm, in the Women’s Center (room G108) in the Mizzou Student Center (901 E Rollins St), there will be an informal chat time with Dr. Chatelain about her roles and experiences.

At 3 pm, hear the Women’s History Month Keynote Address by  Dr. Marcia Chatelain, who is now Assistant Professor of History at Georgetown University, and returns to MU to discuss her new book South Side Girls: Growing Up in the Great Migration. Books will be available for purchase.
