Tomorrow, Sat Apr 2, starting at 8 am, the City of Columbia will host its annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway in the parking lot of the ARC (Activity and Recreation Center, 1701 W Ash St). Nearly 1,000 bare-root seedlings will be given away until all the trees are gone. Tip: Get there early if you want a tree!

On Sat Apr 23, from 10 am to 12:30 pm, the Columbia Public Library will host Plant a Tree for Arbor Day. In the Friends Room, pick up a free seedling from the Missouri Department of Conservation, then get tips on planting it from horticulturalist Alan Helland.
