Highlights this weekend include 2nd Saturday for Kids at Orr Street Studios, the Boone County Historical Society Birthday Party, Les Bourgeois Wine Release Party & Art Show, and lots of music and dancing!

- 9:00am – 3:00pm 3rd CoMo Bug & Bus Bash – Joe Machens Volkswagen, 1200 Vandiver Dr
- 10:00am – 11:00am Answer Workshop: Learn about FiberFix Repair Wrap – Orscheln Farm & Home, 3300 Paris Rd AND 3910 S Providence Rd
- 10:00am – 11:00am (register) Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic – Black Widow’s Sky Cycle (Avengers) (kids) – Lowe’s, 201 Conley Rd N. Lowe’s is on the summer schedule of two workshops per month, and this summer the kits are related to the new Avengers movie. If you did not register, you can stop by about 10:10am and see if there are openings or extra kits available.
- 10:00am – 11:30am (register) Home Depot Do-It-Yourself Workshop – Learn Interior Paint & Drywall Repair – The Home Depot, 3215 Clark Ln. Registration is requested, not required for Home Depot workshops. If interested, call the store at 573-814-1900 to confirm if the event is still scheduled and/or still has openings.
- 12:00pm – 3:00pm 2nd Saturday for Kids – Artistic Eats (ages 5-15) – Orr Street Studios, 106 Orr St. This event is awesome! It is held annually in March, July, October. Art projects include: Felt pizza sculptures; Stamps made out of food; Mosaics made with beans, seeds, corn kernels; and in conjunction with the North Village Arts District Farmers & Artisans Market, Planting seedlings from Wilson’s Garden Center & Gift Shop in ice cream cones & scoops of Sparky’s ice cream planted in other cones! Visiting guest artists are the Deli Llama Orchestra, who create their beautiful musical arts with instruments including flute, Tibetan bowls, and guitar. Kids will have a chance to play with them! Note: Parking is free in the parking garages.
- 12:00pm – 5:00pm Family Summer Camp – Bass Pro Shops, 3101 Bass Pro Dr. The Summer Camp is going on all through the month of July on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The nature-themed activities include workshops, crafts, and photo ops. See the schedule in the calendar.
- 1:00pm – 6:00pm Walters-Boone County Historial Museum & Galleries – 25th Anniversary Party – 3801 Ponderosa St. This should be a blast! There will be Free Tours and VIP Speakers. We are not sure if the BBQ is free. Around 3:45-5pm, hear live music by the River Ridge String Band in the gazebo. There is a grassy area next to the gazebo where there might be the possibility of some dancing, weather permitting. Expect this event to be crowded—be prepared to look for parking in the Nifong Park lot or in alternate designated locations. Happy Birthday BCHS!
- 1:45pm – 4:00pm (register) (1pm, 2pm & 3pm shows) Public Planetarium Shows – Rock Bridge High School, 4303 S Providence Rd. This event is also registration requested. Astronaut (for younger audiences) is showing at 1pm and 2pm. The 2pm show is full, but you can still register for 1pm. The 3pm show is Hubble Vision and still has openings. Alternately, you can go and see if there are seats available. All films are followed by a star talk, reviewing the stars in the current night skies.
- 2:00pm – 3:15pm The Dubious Pursuits of William Clark (author talk)- Friends Room, Columbia Public Library, 100 W Broadway.
- 4:00pm – 8:00pm Les Bourgeois Vineyards – Collector’s Series Wine Release Party and Art Show – Blufftop Bistro, Les Bourgeois Vineyards, 12847 W Highway BB, Rocheport MO 65279
- 9:00pm – 1:00am 80s vs 90s – Music Video Battle of the Decades Dance Party (age 21+) – The Blue Note, 17 N 9th St.
- 9:00pm – 1:10am Totally Bitchin 80s Dance Party (age 18+ / 21+ for alcohol) – Eastside Tavern, 1016 E Broadway.
